Ask about the qualifications and training of the instructors in the program. What level of education to do they have and how much real world experience do the instructors bring to the class? If they are not currently working as accountants, how do they make the classes applicable to the students?

Class size is very important in accounting classes, either in traditional settings or online. Ask about the size of the class and determine if this will provide you enough one on one time with the instructor.

Accounting programs will have a focus on teaching students to effectively communicate financial information to a wide variety of people. Courses will focus on analyzing, interpreting and summarizing data into meaningful information that can be shared by future clients and customers.
