Flight school is usually distinguished from ground school, but in actuality theyre two parts of a whole. Fight school teaches you to handle the airplane controls and actually fly; ground school is where you acquire the academic knowledge you need to learn how, where, and when to fly safely.
Not everyone who goes through flight school earns their certificate after the same amount of training -- that depends on you and your ability. This is important to remember because some schools charge the same no matter how long it takes to get your certificate, while but others will charge more if you take longer than normal.
If you've got two or more flight schools that look good on paper and you can't decide between them, visit them and see how they strike you. It may be that one's "personality" really clicks with you, while the others leave you flat. This makes the choice a lot easier. |
