Yoga can be practiced throughout pregnancy, however it is important to talk to your physician before starting a yoga program when pregnant. Many doctors recommend pregnant women continue with a yoga program during pregnancy unless there are health issues or concerns that arise.
It is critical for students to carefully monitor how they are feeling and how their body is responding to the various exercises in the yoga class. Any signs of pain, strain or discomfort should be discussed with the instructor as soon as the class is over.
